As you might have known, the Singapore F1 GP 2012 was so long that the officials have to limit the race time to 2 hours according to F1 rules. The reason why the race took so long is not because the cars are slower but because there were so many incidents / accidents which led the safety car to come out (Hence when safety car came out, speed on the entire track are reduced drastically).
