I think it would be quite a good idea to let the tourists in Orchard area have some 'water scenery'. From the photo, I thought, it actually looked quite nice and refreshing. I think they should just leave it the way so that they don't have to worry about excess water next time. Can even be used to hold the excess water during heavy downpour. Talk about killing two birds with one stone.
Starbucks, Hermes, Wendy's, etc, get ready to move out.
