Simple but Good and (not that) Cheap

Bread Talk seems to be able get the combination and ingredients of their bread right every time.

Pork Floss bread, for example. For people who didn't realize, it is not just pork floss and bread. Not only there is a layer of 'cream' (could be butter or mayonnaise or a combination), when you bit towards the centre of the bread, there is a concentration of this 'cream' that make the bread perfect. Not to mention the soft but not overdone bread texture and the taste of the "bak hoo"

Now (actually, it has been around for quite a while), they have the morning, made-before-your-eyes Ham and Egg / Bacon and Egg Sandwich. Choose either one of them, together with Coffee, wait about 3-5 minutes, spend S$3 and you will get IMHO, a perfect breakfast.

Bacon and Egg sandwich.

Ingredients: Slice Bread, Ham/Bacon, Cucumber, Butter, Egg

Simple ingredient but why is it 'perfect'?

I don't know, actually but as with BreadTalk products, the sum just adds up to give a greater whole. The combination of the ingredients that was used just gave a satisfying feeling when eating and even after eating the sandwich.

Costing S$3 with coffee white, it is not exactly the cheapest breakfast around (McDonald's Sausage Muffin with Coffee is S$2.50 and you get bigger cup of coffee) but in terms of satisfaction level, it definitely beat McDonald's hands down. and for a S$0.50 premium, there is no reason why I will choose McDonald over Breadtalk in the morning.

Try it if you have not! Available in the morning only

S$2.70 for the sandwich itself.
